Hawzah News Agency- Antonio Sánchez made the remarks during a meeting with Hamed Shakernejad, the Quranic Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Tehran.
"The Iranian nation boasts an ancient and highly advanced civilization that has been subjected to shameless assaults," Sánchez stated. "Yet, throughout the centuries, Iranians have created eye-catching works of art that are a testament to their great and peace-seeking soul."
The Spanish diplomat went on to emphasize that Madrid has proven its commitment to standing by its friends in times of hardship, expressing readiness to take effective steps toward the establishment of peace. "Oppression and violence have always been condemned, and this is a common injunction of all divine religions," Sánchez added.
'A new era belongs to the righteous nations'
For his part, Iran's Quranic Ambassador, Hamed Shakernejad, pointed to ongoing global transformations, noting, "Leading political and historical scholars believe we are at a historic turning point, and we share this belief—with the conviction that the new era belongs to the civilized and righteous nations."
Shakernejad stressed that cultural coalitions among such nations will undoubtedly shape the future of political, economic, and other relations. He further said the steadfast support of the Spanish nation and government for the oppressed yet powerful people of Iran is "a sign of authenticity and nobility."
